It only seems appropriate to write a post about the first city I ever fell in love with. New York City – the great, the resilient and the strong. [ NEVER FORGET ]
I’ve been to NYC many times over the years but one trip in particular will always stay with me because I literally did set a table on fire. Obviously people should not let me have drinks with massive amounts of alcohol hidden in its fruity depths that they set aflame!
This post will have two parts, the first will be about where to eat & drink (are we seeing a pattern here, foodie alert) and tomorrow will be the sites you absolutely have to see. Enjoy my beauties & let me know if you ever visit any of these. I love hearing when people like my recommendations… I live for the applause, applause, applause 😉
Where I set the table on fire | PKNY (Painkiller NY)
Foodie Heaven | Beauty & Essex
Insiders tip: You’ll have to walk through a cool little storefront to get into the restaurant.
The Iconic Burger | Shake Shack
Cozy Breakfast Spot | Penelope
The Best Rooftop View | 230 Fifth
Insiders Tip: This place can become packed and drinks are expensive but for us it was worth one visit to see the gorgeous view of the city.
The Secret Bar | $hhh [The Cash Bar]
Insiders tip: On 34th Street between Park and Madison, a “$” sign will reveal this speakeasy bar, accessible only through an out-of-order ATM that opens into the bar.
The Local Approved Bar | GMT Tavern
The Non-Touristy Pizza Place | Luzzo’s
Ethnic Cravings – Cuban Edition | Coppelia
